Marquee

Need something special for your outdoor event?

The Group has a large (variable-size) marquee which is available for loan
in return for a donation to the Group.

The marquee is normally loaned out on the basis of a 2-3 day
event e.g. a weekend. Please contact Ian or Aly for
longer loan periods.

We regret that we are unable to arrange marquee loan outside
the NE Scotland region.

[Please Note: the main crew for supervising the erection and dismantling of the marquee will be provided by the Scout Group. However we do require additional manpower to help with the tent and organisations wishing to hire this marquee are requested to supply volunteers to help the Scout personnel with construction and dismantling]

The Marquee

The marquee is a relatively new, very large structure which can be erected from it's base size of 60 x 40 feet up to a maximum of 100 feet in length. The framework comprises a maximum 7-pole structure with individual sections that can be inserted as required to achieve the desired dimensions. E.g lengths of 60, 80, and 100 feet.

This marquee can - theoretically - go up to 140 feet in length but a loan of this size would require 3 months notice.

The large marquee also has wooden flooring if required. This is "free of charge" but the borrower would need to make their own arrangements for collection and return of the floor pannels.

The suggested donation(s) for the large marquee are:

Base size: 60' x 40': £400
Each additional 20' section required: £150
